Monthly Art Talk@ Martin Chautari

The ‘Monthly Art Interactions and Special Art Talks/Lectures’ and the ‘Monthly Art Theory / Analytical Interaction and Archiving’ are an extension of each other.  The art talks have been taking place every last Tuesday of each English month, at 3 PM in Martin Chautari, Thapathali. Local and international artists are invited to talk about their works or a particular subject matter related to art. This is a great platform for interaction and awareness of what is happening in the contemporary art scene around the world. Additionally, discussions are held on issues like the constant search of the meaning and purpose of art; why it is or is not important to talk about art; whether it is has universal appeal or its understanding is just reserved for a certain group of people which makes art elitist; even the hierarchy that exists in art itself.

These talks are open to everyone and information on guest artists will be updated on the website every month.
